Melbourne 'Introduction to weaving workshop'

As part of West Elm's national weaving event, I will be hosting an 'Introduction to weaving' workshop. From warping your loom to taking your piece off the loom, I will take you through everything you need to know about weaving a small piece of tapestry. By the end of your class, you will have made a functional piece that can be used as a coaster!

Date: Saturday the 18th of June 2016

Time: 1:00pm - 4:00pm

Duration: 3 hours

Location:  West Elm Chadstone shopping Centre: Lower Level (near David Jones) 1341 Dandenong Road, Chadstone.

What you will learn:

  1. How to warp your loom
  2. How to begin a weave
  3. How to combine colours with different kinds of yarn fibre
  4. How to finish off your take-home coaster piece
