Haily Tran, founder of B FOR BRIAN
Born in Western Australia, lives and works in Melbourne, Haily Tran is a creative thinker and maker.
Drawing inspiration from her travels and music, her current work reflects her love for native textiles, patterns and textures. More recently as part of her travels, she visited weaving artists around Turkey to learn about the skill of hand loom creations. She discovered her love for weaving and was compelled to bring this wonderful skill back home to Melbourne. Haily is also a musician in the duo Sweet Myrtle. Each piece of wall art has been named after a jazz standard that is part of their repertoire. All pieces are custom-made and therefore, will never be identical. Haily uses a range of materials that include wood that are FSC approved and yarn fibres that are Australian or New Zealand alpaca, mohair, cotton or lambs wool.
Haily is a strong believer in education and nurturing creativity. 5% from all purchases of her work is donated to The Royal Children's Hospital Education Institute.
