Justine Bolzon is the maker behind Border Co. She began woodworking in 2013 by making furniture pieces for her own home and gifting handcrafted cheeseboards to friends.
A passion for the handmade was the driving force behind the inception of Border co. Each piece is crafted in Justine’s home workshop, in suburban Adelaide, using traditional tools and reclaimed timbers. Every piece of timber used has its own story, whether it began its journey as a drawer front or a fence post. The thrill of discovering the beauty of the timber, often hidden beneath a weathered façade, is unparalleled.
Justine Bolzon, the maker behind Border Co. aims to create items that are utilitarian but that display and highlight the natural beauty of the material. Knots, scars, and nail holes are not hidden but rather are embraced, as these imperfections are an integral part of the story.
For Justine's initial contribution, she has made butter knives in a variety of beautiful timber types.
